This system sets up in a flash, and can be put up on uneven ground, on a hillside or virtually anywhere...making it much more versatile (and comfortable) than ground camping.

Here are some of the details, and workmanship, that make the Exped Hammock such a great value:

Tarp: The tarp is made with a seamless design, from a heavily PU coated taffeta nylon, made of ultralight ripstop nylon, in the UL version, for ultimate waterproof performance.  

The tarp also works well as a sun roof.

Numerous guyline loops for easy setup and the ridge loops attach directly to the slits of the hammock cords.

As with all Exped tarps, they come supplied with the necessary guylines already packed into sewn- on stuffsacks, that help keep your lines sorted and easy to use.

Ease of use: If the mosquito net is not required, just flip the hammock over with the net facing down. This lets you sit on the hammock, without risk of tearing or puncturing the mostquito netting. When you are ready for bed, just flip the hammock over with a flick of the wrist, and you're all set.

Stash pockets: Two interior pockets take up small personal items such as books, headlamps, glasses and more.

Variations in setup: Sleeves at both ends allow you to slide sticks, small tent rods or trekking pole segments into them, making the hammock wide and flat. 4 slit ropes are included for this purpose. 

Hammock:  Has a double floor for extra comfort and protection. The thicker floor prevents bugs from stinging through the fabric, but also does double duty as a sleeping mat sleeve.

This double-layer holds the mat in place, preventing it from shifting around.

Anyone who has spent a night in a hammock is familiar with the fact that it can feel cold at night when one’s back is pressed into the fabric and every cool breeze is felt--which is no longer an issue with this type of floor construction.

The double floor also increases durability and stability of the hammock, for longer, more enjoyable use.

Easy access: A generous zipper runs the length of the hammock simplifying entry and exit of Scout Hammock Combi.

Mosquito net: The roomy mosquito net has wide dimensions and volume. Three (3) fabric sleeves can be used to hold a stick or trekking pole segments in order to adjust the net to your needs and keeping the net and insects away from your body.

The large volume improves the interior climate and reduces heat.

The dark color of the net is good for visibility inside-out, but also offers privacy while you are inside.
