Thank you for the phone call today and your recommendation for the LT-3 model of your Bushcooker. I am truly impressed that you would take the time to call a potential buyer and patiently answer questions. I truly like my LT-1 stove and look forward to using the LT-3 that I just ordered through your website.

I just received the little stove (and 900 lid) tonight. Thank you very much. The craftsmanship is excellent -- it's like a work of art. And it burns great! It's much better than I expected. I'll let you know when I'm ready to move up to some of the bigger stoves.

Just wanted to tell you how pleased I am with the 2 Dog, sauna stove you fabricated and shipped. Installed it this past weekend and it is plenty of stove for the job. You do beautiful work!
Thank you so much.

I have owned an Ultra-Light I stove for ten years and have traveled many miles with it along the rivers, lakes, and flows of the Adirondacks in Upstate New York. Due to the stove’s light weight it is little more than a handful on a portage, though more importantly it will not destabilize a canoe in rapids or high winds and heavy water, nor upset a toboggan on the long inclines and narrow trails through the woods. The Ultra-Light I is very well made, easy to use and requires less maintenance than a frying pan. The best testament I can offer is that of a camping partner on a trip made in mid-January at -27F, who complained, “Ouch, my cocoas’ too hot!” In the years I have used the stove it has become as essential a piece of equipment as a paddle or length of rope.

“We just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with your stoves. The craftsmanship is unmatched in the portable tent stove field. We were happily surprised to discover your stoves will hold coals all night a light weight stove first! We use your Four Dog Models in our fixed winter camps & it heats a 12 x 14 tent on a –30 F night. The cooking area with warming shelves is perfect for guided groups. Keep up the good work.”

“Many Buck skinners like to add comfort to their camp by using a woodstove in their tent. I’ve used them in wall tents and marquees. Stoves certainly make it more like home in cold weather camps. If you are interested in a portable camp use, the best I’ve seen are made by Don Kevilus , sold by Four Dog Stove. They sent one down for my appraisal, and I’m impressed.”

“Until Four Dog Stove Co. entered the light trail stove market, snowshoes, dog-sledders, fringe season canoeists, and other in the bush had to sleuth out few available sources in Canada, or go to the trouble & expense of fabricating their own. With Don now producing the UL Titanium models several truly superior stoves are readily available. The UL Titanium achieve a balance between lightness and sturdiness. Lightness is required for portability, yet a certain sturdiness is favors longevity. The stoves we have used have stood up to hard nomadic use on guided snowshoe and toboggan trips, semi-permanent camps while staying with Native Labradoreans, and early and late season canoeing. Expertly crafted with infinite attention to detail, you simply will not find a better stove.”

“Living in temporary structures and tents. You can find folding , tin stoves for such places. In the hands of inexperienced wood-burners, though these can over heat and burn through or collapse. A better choice in our view-and one that can moved inside to heat and cook indefinitely-are the welded-steel stoves from Kevilus of Four Dog Stove Co. in St. Francis , MN. Patterned on the Jotul box stove the Four Dog model and smaller Three– and Two-Dog littermates are made of 3/32 hot-rolled steel, airtight gasketed door with a secure latch, & a heat retaining/spark arresting smoke baffle in the firebox. Beautifully made with elegant welds and priced Starting at under $200.00 (a bargain), they can be ordered with removable side shelves, stainless steel water jacket, side oven for baking and telescoping stove pipe for easy portability. Legs easily removed but stay in when attached. Mine sports an optional removable cook lid for quick-cooking heat.”
