I just returned from a 4 day winter trip into the BWCAW. I took the Bushcooker II along as an emergency back-up in the event that I had a gear malfunction on my tent woodstove or was unable to find suitable wood. The Bushcooker was used several times during the trip as a very quick way to heat up some water for coffee or soup while out on day hikes. As I walked along, I would gather small twigs and sticks and then use them to heat up a warm lunch with the Bushcooker. On a cold day it is also a great way to warm your hands during a stop. I will take it on all my trips as either a back-up or primary cooking stove. It is so light and stores nicely in the Mors pot.

When I first opened the box I was amazed because the design looks like the bottom of a rocket. Every detail of the design and the metals are exceptional. I don't see how this will ever break or bend unless a bear enters camp. Choices regarding fuel are fairly wide range and liberating. I can leave the fuel canister at home and gather local fuel with minimal wnvironmental impact. I love this stove.
